Fall is Emerging Finally!

Today was a very nice day Loved the weather I can tell it's cooling off alot more this pleases me very much! This outfit is just the beginning of what I have in mind for this Fall's Wardrobe ;) I'm completely favoring the deep tones of brown, burgundy, mustard yellow. Oh and I am Infatuated with the new golen tones, salmons, rusts for Fall as well so so beautiful! It's intersting to me that it seems 60's and 70'S style pops in and out of fashion very consistently. It's a great style the most fun out of all past style if I might say. I think once this era of boho seems to fade once again from the spot light. I shal continue to stay true to who I am a hippie on the inside and the music dont get me started on that music. It's the very heart of folk, and rock and roll, <3 it! From The Doors, to The Who, Led Zepplin, James Taylor, The Beatles, Pink Floyd They are all very great Musicians to remembered all through time just like the times they lived in 60'S and 70'S PEACE AND LOVE 2 ALL!
Walking down this road you never knew, just what was waiting for you.
 Folk Baby!

Brittny "60's and 70's  girl Colage"

Folk Girl

This Day was a beautiful Day warm and bright and with a nice Breeze Oh how I loved that breeze. I threw on my blue jeans and some of my favorite cowgirl boots along with a easy going western style button up and my Indian Inspired Tasseled vest. This Folk look is always alot of fun. I had my Boyfriend take pictures for me in front of his house where it seemed like a good view for the style I chose for the day. This hat also I thought gave it a nice sofetr look rather then just wearing the usual cowboy hat.

dream catcher

Long ago when the world was young, an old Lakota spiritual leader was on a high mountain and had a vision. In his vision, Iktomi, the great trickster and teacher of wisdom, appeared in the form of a spider. Iktomi spoke to him in a sacred language. As he spoke, Iktomi the spider picked up the elder's willow hoop which had feathers, horsehair, beads and offerings on it, and began to spin a web.
He spoke to the elder about the cycles of life; how we begin our lives as infants, move on through childhood and on to adulthood. Finally we go to old age where we must be taken care of as infants, completing the cycle. "But", Iktomi said as he continued to spin his web, "in each time of life there are many forces; some good and some bad. If you listen to the good forces, they will steer you in the right direction. But, if you listen to the bad forces, they'll steer you in the wrong direction and may hurt you. So these forces can help, or can interfere with the harmony of Nature. While the spider spoke, he continued to weave his web.
When Iktomi finished speaking, he gave the elder the web and said, "The web is a perfect circle with a hole in the center. Use the web to help your people reach their goals, making good use of their ideas, dreams and visions. If you believe in the great spirit, the web will catch your good ideas and the bad ones will go through the hole." The elder passed on his vision to the people and now many Indian people hang a dream catcher above their bed to sift their dreams and visions. The good is captured in the web of life and carried with the people, but the evil in their dreams drops through the hole in the center of the web and are no longer a part of their lives. It's said that the dream catcher holds the destiny of the future.

your beauty....a treasure to cherish.

your beauty

soft is thy melody
that pours down on us,
in the summer breeze,
in the rays
of the glowing morning sun
audible to ears straining
to hear thy sweet song.
elegant is your persona
sometimes burning
sometimes melting
in fire, ice, rain
it ravels itself
to the eyes that long
to see that grandeur, grace.
to some it’s a treasure to exploit,
to some it’s a treasure to cherish.

Gypsy Girl

Gypsy Girl
Ten years before my time
I sang a song to a friend of mine
’bout a girl working for a dime

Although I didn’t know that gypsy girl
But knew about her kind of thrill
Her love’s not cheap but always up for sale

Picture this, I was alone
But when I sing this song
I’m not alone
With my gypsy girl

Gypsy lady lost her soul
She’s so scared of growing old
But words don’t age for me to turn to gold

Gypsy girl with raven hair
Eyes like saucers, with a stare
That says she’s the one that never seems to care

Picture this, I was alone
But when I sing this song
I’m not alone
With my gypsy girl

Gypsy girl plays it fair
Throws her hand in the air
Saying that she didn’t really care

Nature's Groove

To me Nothing is better than a day out in nature and good ol Hippie urban chic style! Today I went by the office of my new job and got some paper work done. Afterward I was to get some Starbucks coffee which I cannot do with out ever lol. I can Imagine what they must think of me coming in daily I'm pretty sure I'm the only one so I don't feel so bad. This morning when I picked out my outfit I was in the mood for Groovy. So I threw on a pair of my old Vintage Jeans and paired it with my Urban Outfitter's Floral Button shirt, socks to match and my favorite little brown booties with the peep toe and can't forget about my little brown leather bag that's been sitting in my closet for too long. I must say this is one of faves for the week and was very fast and easy to accomplish. Accessories can always be an easy help to dress up an outfit as well. This look to me has a very Autumn Feel. Autumn's my favorite time of the yr so til next yr I'll have to dress the memory ;)
